Creating video courses is a huge endeavor and often very stressful, regardless of how long you’ve been in your field. When you move into selling your expertise it can feel intimidating, overwhelming, and uncomfortable. In this workshop Sarah Benoit will share how she has transitioned from teaching in person to teaching online. She’ll share mindsets, tips, and tactics that successful online trainers use to create truly useful, relevant, and valuable content. You’ll also discuss trends in online education and how you can make your courses easier to digest and complete. 

Meet your Trainer – Sarah Benoit

Sarah has been a resident of Asheville, North Carolina since August of 1999. Her background is in professional writing, media relations, event production, office management and customer service. Since 2003 she has worked as a keyword research, content marketing, social media, and web site development specialist.

Sarah began her first company and was Managing Partner and Marketing Director of Sidhe Communications, LLC from 2003 to 2009. In 2009 she closed that business and rebranded into Creative Original, Inc., a small business web design, development, and consulting firm. In 2013 Sarah decided to begin a collaboration with a local competitor and became co-founder and lead instructor at the JB Media Institute, a digital marketing school based in Asheville.

Sarah is a proud graduate of Leadership Asheville 31 and a member of the 2014 Asheville 40 Under 40. She was also honored to receive the Asheville WomanUP Woman Executive of the Year award in 2017. Currently Sarah serves as marketing coordinator for WordCamp Asheville, as a member of the core leadership team for Community Roots, and as digital marketing co-chair on the board of AIGA Asheville.
